About this Piece

She holds the key to her own survival ~ no one holds it for her.

These key-shaped post earrings carry an edge softened by meaning. A 6mm round rose-cut garnet perches at the top of each, with a 3mm garnet anchoring the bottom — an olive branch, or a key unlocking the door to somewhere safer. At 1.2 inches in height and around 5 grams each, they're built for everyday wear. Post earrings by default, but they can be adjusted to dangles or for stretched ears on request.

The collection lives in the moment after everything falls apart, before you know what's left. Each piece carries the texture of that story. Made by hand, so no two are ever quite alike.

Each piece is individually made to order in my Wisconsin studio.

Every Skölland piece is lovingly handcrafted just for you — because legendary pieces aren't mass-produced. Every piece is made in my studio that's based in Door County, Wisconsin.
Most pieces are ready to embark on their journey to you within 2 to 4 weeks. (During mid August-September this time extends to 4-9weeks)

Jewelry Care

To get the longest life out of your piece and avoid unnecessary repairs I recommend:

Avoiding contact with chemicals, perfumes,and lotions. Remove before going to bed and do not wear while performing strenuous activities such as gardening, rock climbing, working on machinery or working out,etc. These pieces can get wet, but remember to promptly dry them and your fingers after contact with water to prevent the onset of water spots or contact dermatitis. (contact dermatitis can happen with any material- regardless of if it's my jewelry or jewelry made by another person)
