Financing & Layaway

Investing in a handmade piece of jewelry shouldn't mean choosing between the piece you want and the timing that works for you. I offer several ways to make it work.

In-House Layaway

For purchases of $500 or more, I offer a layaway plan that lets you pay over time while I hold your piece.

How it works:

25% down at the time of purchase. The remaining balance is split into equal monthly installments over your choice of 3, 6, or 12 months. Your piece ships once the balance is paid in full.

To start a layaway, reach out at info@skollandjewelry.com I'll set up your payment schedule and confirm your piece is reserved.

Please note: If payments are not completed, the balance paid to date is converted to non-refundable store credit. Layaway payments are not refundable as cash.

Layaway for Custom Commissions

Custom commissions follow a modified payment structure that reflects the cost of materials and the time involved in creating your piece.

The $500 design retainer is paid upfront to secure your spot in my schedule and covers the initial consultation. Before I purchase materials or begin fabrication, 50% of the remaining project cost is due. The final balance is due upon completion, before the piece ships. If needed, the final balance can be placed on a layaway plan.

This structure protects both of us - I don't purchase materials on speculation, and you don't pay in full before seeing the finished piece.

Shop Pay Installments

Available at checkout on all pieces. Shop Pay splits your purchase into 4 equal, interest-free payments made every two weeks. No application, no credit check for most orders. You receive your piece right away while payments are made automatically. Shop Pay is managed by Shopify and is separate from my in-house layaway.

Klarna

Also available at checkout on all pieces. Klarna offers several payment options depending on your eligibility, including splitting the purchase into 4 interest-free payments or financing over a longer term. Klarna manages the payments directly - you receive your piece right away and Klarna collects from you on schedule. Approval is determined by Klarna at checkout.
