At Skölland Jewelry, we create exquisite pieces with a lasting impression. Made by hand in our studio in Wisconsin, we specialize in timeless, artisan jewelry inspired by nature and the past. Our jewelry is made from the finest materials and attention is given to every detail, from the initial concept of each design through its final completion. Each piece is created honoring centuries-old metalworking traditions that have been perfected over centuries by artisans around the world and are designed to be enjoyed for generations to come.
About Claire Steckel
Claire's journey as a metalsmith and one-woman show began in her late teens, when she stumbled upon a beading shop near her first apartment. She soon realized that beading was limiting and could not create the designs she dreamed of, so she set out to teach herself metalsmithing techniques and work under master goldsmiths to bring her creative visions to life. After years of dedication and hard work, Claire now primarily works in her home studio, forging and designing beautiful pieces of jewelry with traditional and innovative metalsmithing techniques.
In her spare time, Claire loves foraging, cooking, reading, and playing the piano. Her diverse interests have helped her to become a master of her craft and to use jewelry as a form of communication - allowing her customer's stories to shine through in every piece she creates.

The complexity and character of brutalist art as well as rugged, rocky terrains, duality, enchanting elements from captivating fantasy novels, intuitive moods, and aged old archaic structures such as gothic cathedrals- all of which are masterfully translated into the Skollands distinct style of jewelry.
