One of a kind. The mold was destroyed after casting. This piece will not be made again.
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Named for the wounded healer of Greek mythology - the centaur who could heal everyone but himself, and transformed that pain into wisdom.
Chiron holds space for that kind of transformation. A rising sun crests above a cauldron. Books line the shelves beneath - ancient remedies for wounds that don't show on the surface. This is a pendant for the person who has found medicine in the pages of a book and knows that some healing only starts when you stop looking for a cure and start looking for meaning.
One of my bookshelf necklace series - hand-sculpted shelves, miniature volumes, and symbolic elements composed at a scale that rewards close attention.
Argentium silver. Arrives on an 18-inch chain. Pendant measures 2.36 inches tall by just under an inch wide. Hand-carved, cast, and finished in my Door County, Wisconsin studio. The mold was destroyed after this single casting.

What Collectors Are Saying

About Skölland
Skölland is a one-woman jewelry studio in Door County, Wisconsin. Every piece is made by hand - either carved in wax or fabricated, cast in precious metal, and finished at my bench. For one-of-a-kind work, the mold is destroyed after a single casting. What you hold will not be made again.I work in argentium silver and in solid gold from 10K to 18K, drawing from mythology, celestial imagery, and the darker corners of folklore to create jewelry that carries meaning beyond its materials.
